Lecture Notes for Week 2
- Midterm scores: extra points added for honest critiques and suggestions
- All extra-credit presentations will be done Week 7
- Discussion thread participation: my philosphy has been to not push myself into discussions as that usually tends to either end discussions (because now the "right" answer has been revealed) or leads to the same people discussing the added "sub-questions" as everyone else thinks it's just a private discussion. However, I do always respond to posts directed specifically at me (e.g., "Professor, what is the actual specific heat capacity of water?"). Would people prefer more sub-questions? Will that lead to greater participation by everyone?
- Discussion threads participation: has become gradually stricter and responses "Good point!" or "Nice answer!" will NOT count as a substantial enough response.

Check for grades' notes (e.g., for labs) whenever you see a score
posted (just click on the score and you should see my notes to
you, usually explaining why you lost points, if any).
- Dropping lowest TD and Quiz score.
- Hand in three substantial, constructive critiques.
- All Projects/Presentations due by Monday of Week 7.
